Jessica & Chris Engagement Session

Monday, November 19th, 2012

I can’t tell you how much I enjoy photographing engaged couples. I feel like I get a behind the scenes look at watching a couple in love get ready for the next part of their journey. At the end of March I’ll be there to witness Jessica & Chris take that step and commitment to each other. It will be an intimate, quiet wedding with just a couple of their family & closest friends to be held at the Cherokee Park here in Louisville, KY.   And I feel so honored to be a part of it.

Photo & Video Fusion

Wednesday, August 8th, 2012

I know we have been MIA the past couple of weeks,
however I have a BIG ANNOUNCMENT!!!!

CapturedbyKP is stepping out into the world of Photo & Video Fusion!!!

As many of you know Daniel, my husband, has started working along side of me as a second shooter this past year. Daniel’s love for  shooting lifestyle photography has become an important part of our business yet he’s had a deep intrest in video. He does’t want to take a leap into the complicated and vast world of videographer at this time, yet still wants to find a way to add it into our package. After much research and some amazing classes we decided to fuse both photography and videos into our business and venture out into photo & video fusion.

What is Photo & Video Fusion:

Combining short 4-5 second video clips with photographs in a multimedia presentation to highlight your special photography session or wedding day.

Here is a short video we did just to give you a taste of what is to come in the near future.

We have several fusion shoots coming over the next couple weeks so stay tuned in for some excited new post!

What to Wear

Tuesday, July 31st, 2012

“What should I wear?” This is a question I get asked all the time and there is no real easy answer. However here is a set of rules you that should help you while picking out your outfits for your next photo shoot.

Rule 1. Pick outfits that are fitted but not tight. Even though wide flowing shirts are in style it doesn’t mean it will translate well in a photograph. Try to keep your clothing fitted without going to the drastic other end of the spectrum of too tight.

Rule 2. HEELS, HEELS, & MORE HEELS!!!!! Heels make your legs look longer and more toned. While making you feel like a super model at the photo shoot. (I can’t stress the importants of heels more. They add an edgy look to your photograph)

Rule 3. Accessories!!! (Earrings, Chunky Necklaces, Scarfs, Hats, Belts, Coats, ect….. and the list goes on) You want to bring a personalize pop you to your photo shoot. Bring tons and tons of accessories. You can turn a boring pair of jeans and white teeshirt into a one of a kind outfits just by throwing a classy pair of heels and a chunky necklace with it.  Don’t underestimate the power of accessories.
